Basic Bitch Numerology started out as an idea for teaching the thing that I love. At first, it was an eBook, but I have the shittiest! online marketing skills! ever! so that didn’t work. Then it became in-person workshops and that did work because I am so much better at teaching classes than I am at following trends on TikTok. The idea behind the workshops was to make this fun.
The problem is that I love homework and deep dives, but thanks to social media, most of us have the attention span of a hummingbird on crack. We want to know, but we want it in hundreds of short little parts because we can’t sit through long discussions anymore.
This podcast aims to fill that gap. I explain numerology in manageable, bite-sized chunks, using metaphors from Tarot, astrology, and Pop culture. I will also occasionally discuss current events, but I’ll keep it light because this is not the stuff of cloak-wearing Arythmancers hanging out in the library’s restricted section.

Who am I?
I’m Nicole, AKA TheNumerologyLady, across social media platforms. I’ve been at this for a long time, and I like to share.
At age 15 in 1987, I started giving numerology readings in the girl’s washroom in high school. Armed with an article from Canadian Living, a popular women’s magazine, I gave career readings based on birthday information until Mr. Petticrew caught me smoking and career counseling during spares.
Although my budding HR career was cut short, I kept on quietly pursuing my mystical interests. During the 90s, with more luck than common sense and very little regard for city busking bylaws and permits, I became a mystic about town in Halifax, NS, giving readings on park benches, in coffee shops, at the waterfront, and wherever complete strangers found me. I never did end up on a milk carton like my Aunt Barbara predicted and I continue to cart a notebook and pen in my purse so I can be ready if I run into a stranger with a question.
